Egg day finally arrived. Watch as Sarah & I conduct a side by side taste test between a store-bought cage free chicken egg and our first home grown egg.

Good egg, Camilla! The thickness of the shell is due to the fact that this was her first egg. And that she isn’t producing heavily yet. When she is laying heavily and as she ages, the shell will thin out. The color of the yolk is caused by the diet she is eating. A colorless diet will produce colorless eggs. What I would love to see is a breakdown of protein, cholesterol, Vit D, etc. between your eggs and store-bought eggs. That would be really interesting. Your eggs are most definitely the best! How many are you getting now?
